A Look at 2005Anglicans for Renewal |
Spring 2005 |
At the beginning of the year I sit down to 'listen' in prayer and I ask the Lord what is in store for the months ahead. This year I felt is to be a year of alignment. These two scriptures came quite strongly to me. Prophecy speaks to the potential for either good or bad, blessings or curses. Both can be averted or lessened by the prayers and deep repentance of the saints.
Daniel 11:32 And such as violate the covenant he shall pervert and seduce with flatteries, but the people who know their God shall prove themselves strong and do great exploits [for God] Mal 3:2 AMP But who can endure the day of His coming? And who can stand when He appears? For He is like a refiner's fire and like Fullers' soap;
This is a year to scrub ourselves clean from all that pollutes us, body and soul. Those who violate the covenant will be open to the seductions of the enemy and those who are susceptible to the flattery of men will be led astray by grandiose visions that come from the soul and not from the Spirit. Everything that can be shaken will be shaken and the less 'baggage' we carry the better.
The Lord will bring out of hiding those he has been preparing 'for such a time as this'. They will be the 'no name' brand, generic in the sense that they carry the presence of the Lord with humility and authority, they are not concerned about making a name, only lifting up the 'Name above all names'. Great grace will abound to those who are faithful to do His will. He will open doors that have been closed and He will take His voice into the courts of kings and rulers. Many leaders who have resisted the Gospel will turn to the Lord and there will be shifts in countries where darkness has prevailed.
The sword of the Lord has been laid upon many and they will wield it with accuracy and power to cut and to heal. Those who are sold out for Him have been 'knighted' and will lead His troops fearlessly into battle. They will be a violent people not afraid to take back what the enemy has stolen. They will take much territory which has been held captive, whole countries will be freed from bondage because of these 'violent' saints who will press in until they see victory. There will be no more hiding; what is being hidden in darkness will be exposed.
God is cleansing His church, He has warned and those who have not heeded will find their 'shady' deals exposed to the light.
Isa 45:3 AMP And I will give you the treasures of darkness and hidden riches of secret places.
'Josephs' (Christian businessmen) will come to prominence and amazing deals will be made that will increase the flow of finances into the church, the body. Great favour in the marketplace.
Isa 43:2 AMP When you pass through the waters, I will be with you, and through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned or scorched, nor will the flame kindle upon you.
There will be miracles as happened to those in the fiery furnace, God's people will walk free and unscathed from fires and floods and many will marvel at this and be saved.
This is a hard scripture, but there is nothing we need to fear if we are walking closely with God and in obedience to His word.
Amos 7:8 AMP And the Lord said to me, Amos, what do you see? And I said, A plumb line. Then said the Lord, Behold, I am setting a plumb line as a standard in the midst of My people Israel. I will not pass by and spare them any more [the door of mercy is shut].
